At some point in our lives, we stop and ask ourselves, "Do I take care of myself, my body, and my soul?"
Whether it is a moment of self-awareness or a dramatic event, when you think about yourself and the way you treat your physical condition, you must pay attention to your diet.
This happened to Yana Sredkova. Years ago she found out that her son Ivan, who at that time was 3 years old, had a health problem. According to doctors, he was on the autism spectrum, but the diagnosis was not definitive. It was only certain that there were heavy metals in the brain as a result of a vaccine. The doctors couldn’t help and Yana decided to use food as medicine to help her child. Through balanced foods and gluten-free meals, the boy's performance improved and he began to feel better.
In November 2017, Yana enrolled in the New Cage program to learn many and more useful tips on healthy eating. So in 8 months, she was able to recover from "Hashimoto" with which she was diagnosed 15 years ago, and to throw away all the prescribed medications.
After seeing the positive results from her treatment and that of her son, Yana rolled up her sleeves and from the strict outfits, as a manager of a large children's center in Sofia, she put on her apron. Initially, she cooked only for her family and close friends, but gradually the circle of people who wanted to get in shape, through proper nutrition was growing. The list of delicious and useful specialties that Yana prepared was also growing. That's how Green Basket was born - the brand I created with love and attitude towards food. This is how the culinary shop of the same name appeared in the capital's Iztok district, which offers its customers gluten-free, vegan and healthy dishes. This is the cooking that has the right amount of protein, carbohydrates, fats, and minerals. No sugar is used, almost no salt and I flavor everything on the principle of a combination of spices and herbs. "They contain salts, and their extraction is done by short heat treatment. The food is prepared quickly - 5-7 minutes to preserve valuable vitamins and minerals and to naturally strengthen the body's metabolism. Nothing is fried, just boiled, stewed or baked.
People should be very careful with fats. For balanced foods, they are only 30% of the total energy content for adults, and 32% for children. Recent studies show that fat consumption in Bulgaria is 37%. "I like and love my job! I like to see people happy and satisfied with what I prepare for them with love and a positive attitude to food.
Yana Sredkova won the title of Mrs. Bulgaria World 2018. In the jubilee edition - 20 years of Mrs. Bulgaria - the prestigious competition for married ladies - Yana Sredkova deserved to grab the gold ribbon and the crown. The new Mrs. Bulgaria World won the jury with delicacy, charm, and class, shaped by her path so far. As a mother of three, she shared her example and advocated for noble causes that proclaim love and humanity.
